REGISTER BMT MICRO DISTRIBUTED SHAREWARE
ON THE OS/2 SUPERSITE
January 17th, 1996 Wilmington, NC. BMT Micro, Inc. in cooperation with the
OS/2 Supersite has announced that every OS/2 shareware program available from
BMT Micro can now be registered online at the OS/2 Supersite. Programs
ordered via the Supersite are handled by a secure server.
The OS/2 Supersite contains a Web-based mirror of the HOBBES (hobbes.nmsu.edu)
OS/2 shareware and freeware archive. At the moment it is a partial mirror, but
recently acquired hardware support will enable us to expand to a full mirror
shortly. Other features will be added to the Supersite in the coming weeks.
The OS/2 Supersite is at http://www.os2ss.com.
The OS/2 Supersite is not simply a collection of files with links to HOBBES -
it is an actual mirror with a high speed connection to the internet and more
often than not offers a faster connection than HOBBES during peak periods.
