Global Village, publishers of FaxWorks, is making a special offer to user
groups on its new product, FaxWorks for OS/2 v.3,
Version Your Cost Retail
Full $99 Cdn $129 US
Upgrade $60 Cdn $ 69 US
Note that our costs are in Cdn $ and the retail prices are quoted in US$!
The upgrade will work with any previous version of FaxWorks, including the
Lite versions shipped with Warp 3 and Warp 4.
Global Village has stipulated that this offer depends upon a minimum total
order of 200 copies from all Canadian user groups.
If this minimum is not reached, then your money will of course be refunded in
total. To expedite this process, which is considered rather unlikely, I am
requesting that all payments be made by certified cheque or bank or postal
money order because they are much easier to return. With cash there is always
the possibility of losing track of who paid how much. Even though I will keep
careful records of payment, as I did with the Warp offer, I want to avoid even
the slightest possibility of an error being made.

Please make out your cheque or money order to me for the appropriate amount,
depending on the number of version of copies you are ordering, and have it in
my hands by Friday, January 24 or as soon after as possible. No cheques or
money orders will be deposited before that date. I will then contact Global
Village and see if the minimum number of orders has been reached. If it has
not, then I will simply return your cheque or money order. Otherwise I will
all the cheques and money orders and write one cheque to Global Village.
The actual order to Global Village will be placed on or before 31 Jan 1997.
The software will be shipped to my home sometime in February. When it arrives
I will immediately contact each person who placed an order and arrange for
pickup. Global Village, publishers of FaxWorks, is making a very generous
offer to OS/2 user groups for FaxWorks version 3, the new version scheduled
for release in February 1997. You need not be "member" to participate. Here
are the details: if you have ANY version of FaxWorks, including one of the
"lite" versions shipped with Warp 3 or Warp 4, you can upgrade to FaxWorks 3
for only $60 Cdn! Virtually all Warp owners should be able to take advantage
of this since most, if not all, Warp copies come with the Bonus Pak, which
contains FaxWorks lite. If for some reason you do not have any copy of
FaxWorks, then you will need to purchase a "full" version of FaxWorks for $99
Cdn. This is still a saving of $30 off the regular retail price!
This offer ends on 31 January 1997. Global Village has stipulated that all
purchases be made through a user group. Therefore, in order to give us time
to communicate with Global Village, place our order, and get the money to them
we will be terminating the offer somewhat earlier, probably sometime during
the week ending 31 January.
FaxWorks 3 has literally dozens of exciting new features, including
full-featured support for voice modems--even fax-on-demand software. A
complete list of enhancements and new features with descriptions is simply to
