Announcing a new version of the Media Player for os/2
albatros Media player 2.0 public beta 4
The purpose was to have a single player for all file formats instead of
having a player for every file format as supplied in OS/2
Media Player should play the following file formats:
- MODule Formats (those "Amiga Thingies") - description see below
- AVI (both OS/2 and Windows (with Andreas Portele's WINAVI codecs))
- MPEG 1 movies (with IBM's Openmpeg)
- Audio Mpeg Layer I + II (an encoder for WAV files is included)
- FLC / FLI |
- WAV |
- VOC | we already know that from os/2
- MID |
- Quicktime Movies : with an Additional QT Codec
SUPPORTED MOD FORMATS :
* MOD 4 Channel, 15 Samples NoiseTracker
* MOD 4 Channel, 15 Samples NoiseTracker, ProTracker, SoundTracker etc.
* XM Modules from Fasttracker 4,6,8,16 and 32 Channel FastTracker
* STM Modules from Scream Tracker 2.x
* S3M Modules from Scream Tracker 3.x
* MTM Modules from MultiTracker 1.x
* ULT Modules from UltraTracker
