---------------------------------------------------------------------
I announced that the OS/2 "Must-Have" Utilities List & Links Website was
going to close.
First, thank you for the nice messages of thanks you sent.
Now STOP! I have received 1000s of messages over the past few days. I
tried to keep up, but finally gave in. I read them all, but just can't
respond to all of you. So, it'll have to do to say thanks here. Thanks!
More importantly, someone has stepped up to take on maintenance of the
site. I had many offers, and some that were actually capable of
continuing the service. I chose this offer because of their track record
with OS/2, and because I have dealt with them enough personally to know
that they will keep the site's integrity and usefulness intact.
SofTouch will be maintaining the site from here on. Before you say "Oh!
Commercial city", please re-read the last paragraph. As an additional
factor, I have agreed that I will remain involved in a limited capacity.
Meaning that I will look in on the site and see if it is keeping to the
principles I have tried to maintain. I will also recommend new additions
to the site from time to time. But I'm sure that won't be required as I
have satisfied myself that it will be in good hands. In short, this
project has been my baby, and I'm not gonna just shove it out the door<g>.
The URLs will remain the same, everything will remain the same as far as
possible. Except me. I'm keeping to my "watchdog" role and little more.
Thanks again to all who expressed their support and thanks. I think the
site is in good hands and you will continue to have this resource for some
time to come.
