OS/2 Warp Server training offered at NetWorld + Interop
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 18, 1995...IBM announced today availability of
the beta version of OS/2 Warp Server to IBM Business Enterprise
Solutions Team (BESTeam) members. The BESTeam members can also
receive OS/2* Warp Server training at the NetWorld + Interop tradeshow
in Atlanta on Thursday, September 28. The beta program allows BESTeam
members to become familiar with the latest member of the OS/2 Warp
family, which can increase their range of business solutions.
"Clearly, our channel partners will play a significant role in the
success of the OS/2 Warp Server product," said Phil Powers, director
of marketing, LAN systems. "This offering will allow our BESTeam
channel partners to be OS/2 Warp Server experts before the final
product is released."
IBM is making the OS/2 Warp Server beta available to thousands of
BESTeam members around the world. The inclusion of the BESTeam
members could raise the OS/2 Warp Server beta program to more than
12,000 testers.
OS/2 Warp Server Beta Training
BESTeam members will also have the opportunity to preview the OS/2 Warp
Server beta at IBM's free hands-on training in a 4-hour session held
at the NetWorld + Interop tradeshow (Sept. 25-29). The training will
be open to BESTeam members, LSEs (LAN Server Engineers**), and OSEs
(OS/2 Server Engineers).
Computers will be available for participants to spend approximately 1 1/2
hours familiarizing themselves with the new software. The remaining
time will be spent reviewing competitive data regarding the features
and functions of OS/2 Warp Server vs. Windows NT.
