Absence

I will be out of the country from September 15 through 23. I will not have
network access during this time, so don't expect any activity in this
newsgroup for the next week.
The future
----------
Although I will be back for the two weeks following the above-mentioned
trip, we will be in the final phases of preparation for an annual,
international scientific meeting that we are hosting. My time to deal
with comp.os.os2.announce will be extremely limited during those two
weeks, and the week of October 9 through 13 will be the meeting itself.
More time will be available after that through the end of the year.
Calendar 1996, however, will be a sabbatical year for me, and I'm
anticipating moving between multiple locations during the year, which
will make it rather impractical to continue moderating this newsgroup
during 1996. Now would seem to be a good time to solicit a new moderator
to keep things running smoothly. Just one little problem: I don't know
who has the authority to select a new moderator! I'm not even sure how
many people were involved in my selection over two year ago. I can at
least solicit volunteers.
