LinePlot, Version 1.2, a 32 bit OS2 Presentation Manager program to
produce graphs of scientific and engineering data, has been released by
Neighborhood Business Services. The program is designed to generate
graphs usable in both publications and presentations, and is oriented
towards X-Y type data, producing line and scatter type plots. LinePlot
features allow it to produce graphs that are very difficult to do with
other PC products, such as those found in spreadsheets.
Features Added with this Release
* Use multiple, independently scaled, vertical axis
* Capability to generate error bars from data
* Optional ability to connected data points with curves instead of
just straight lines.
Basic LinePlot Capabilities
* Up to 25 sets of data, with each data set essentially unrestricted
as to size, that is, several thousand data points.
* Data sets can be related or unrelated.
* Data can be plotted with lines, symbols, or a combination.
Complete user control of line and symbol parameters.
* Complete user control of the graphing axises.
* Graph annotations that are independent of the data being plotted,
that can be placed anywhere on the graph.
* LinePlot can produce printed output or OS2 metafiles for use with
other OS2 applications. Metafiles can be transferred to OS2
applications (Pasted) with the system clipboard.
Other features
* Extensive, context sensitive on-line help. The on-line help
includes a "General Operation" section to give first time users an
overview of how the program works.
* Easy program installation, using an installer program.
* Installation includes a number of sample graphs, with separate
documentation plus the raw data files, to illustrate program
capabilities.
LinePlot is full featured shareware. Program registration disables
the light-gray watermark on printed and metafile output.
Program registration fee is $24(US) for on-line registration through
the OS2 Shareware BBS or Compuserve. Direct registration with
Neighborhood Business Services is also possible for $20(US). Registered
users are guaranteed free upgrades to at least version 2.0.

Program upgrades, as they become available, will also be uploaded to

the LinePlot archive, so it is anticipated that other sites will have
the program.

about the program is available at the same locations under file name
LPLOTINFO.ZIP (Compuserve) or LPINFO12.ZIP (All others).
