The latest Shareware version of Floppy-Copy is now available.
The distribution archive of version 2.2 includes a *French* version in addition
to the English and German versions that have been shipped with previous
releases. Special thanks go to Guillaume from France who did a fantastic job
with the translation!
Please note that all languages are included in the archive and you can choose
one of them during installation. There are also a few changes from version
2.11, which are listed below.
Also new: you can now order Floppy-Copy from BMT Micro. For more information
check out their homepage at: "http://www.wilmington.net/bmtmicro/".
Floppy-Copy 2.2 is a 32-bit multithreaded diskette copier for the OS/2 PM.
Major features include:
- Optional copying of used sectors only
- Total control: multithreading allows you to immediately stop a read/write
process without delay
- User defineable diskette types (if you wish, you can manually select heads,
tracks and sectors per track to copy non-PC diskette types)
- Optional single or two-step verify
- Detection and auto-formatting of unformatted media
- "Drag & Drop" support
- Quick!-Format
- Optional bypassing of read-errors
- Auto-write-mode
- Supports the following image types:
DiskImage / OS2IMAGE
VMDisk
LOADDSKF (unpacked versions)
Floppy-Copy's proprietary image-format,
- Optional compression and/or DES encryption of Floppy-Copy images
- Embedding of comments in image files possible.
Displaying LOADDSKF comments is also supported
...and many more.
Changes from version 2.11:
- *FRENCH* version of Floppy-Copy
- Uncompressed Floppy-Copy image now available at special request
- Generation of unique serial number can be turned off in order to
generate 100% identical copies of a diskette
- If DosLoadModule call fails to load DLL, the startup directory is searched
- The INI file is now always created in the startup directory
- The last directory / file selection is saved in FLCPY.INI
Version 2.2 comes with a PM installation program that lets you choose
between the English, German or French version.
Floppy-Copy is Shareware, but fully functional and not "crippled" in any way.
Registered owners of previous versions can upgrade to 2.2 (and all future
versions) without re-registering.
