                     *** AUGUST MEETING CHANGE ***

OS/2 Bay Area User Group General Meeting

                        OS/2 Tips and Techniques
                              Lenny Bailes

                   Monday, August 28, 1995, 7:30 P.M.
                       New User Clinic, 7:00 P.M.

The note is to let you know about a last minute change in our August
general meeting. Our scheduled speaker, Peter Schulz of PCX, has had to
cancel due to an unforseen conflict. Fortunately, well-known OS/2
author Lenny Bailes, whom we have been trying to schedule, has agreed to
come speak on short notice.

Lenny will share with us many of the tips and tricks he has unearthed
for effectively configuring and using OS/2. Among the topics he expects
to cover are video card and driver setup, font use, desktop recovery and
management, and configuring Windows applications for OS/2. Lenny will
also share with us highlights from his upcoming OS/2 Magazine article on
the capabilities and limitations of the OS/2 clipboard, particularly
cutting and pasting graphics.

Lenny Bailes is co-author of several OS/2 books, including "Using OS/2
Warp", "Using SmartSuite for OS/2", and the soon to be released "OS/2
Professional Reference". He is frequent contributor to OS/2 Magazine,
Computer Shopper, and other magazines.

Join us on August 28 for a "get down" evening of OS/2 tips!

Admission is free to members of the OS/2 Bay Area User Group. Nonmember
registration fee is $3, or you may sign up for membership at the door
for $25 for one year.

Directions to SLAC: Take the Sand Hill Road East exit off I-280. The
second traffic light after the one at the interchange is the entrance to
SLAC. Turn right. Stop at the guard house and tell the guard that you
are going to the OS/2 Bay Area User Group meeting. The Auditorium is in
the central area of the complex and is the building straight ahead of
you when you are at the guard house.
