Arco Dual Channel EIDE Adapter Delivers First 32 Bit OS/2 Warp Driver,
Supports Fast ATA Drives, CD-roms
Arco Computer Products announces the ACD-rom, a dual channel VL-bus
EIDE adapter. At $94 with an est. street price of about half, this
cost effective adapter will connect EIDE, CD-rom, serial and parallel
products. The adapter delivers the the first OS/2 Warp 32 bit driver
enabling the full speed of the operating system and the maximum data
transfer rate of Enhanced IDE.

users will see approximatley a 30% increase in performance. This
feature combined with the 32 bit Warp driver will receive true Mode 3
performance, matching or exceeding the 32 bit disk and file access
touted by Windows.
The board supports up to 4 IDE/EIDE drives and/or ATAPI devices. The
16C550 UART supports up to V.34 modems from the two serial ports. The
enhanced parallel port is ECP, SPP, EPP compatible for fast parallel
tranfers. Floppy support ranges up to 2.88 MB.
Setup is jumperless and software configurable.
Arco is located at 2750 N. 29th Ave. S-316, Hollywood, Fl. 33020.
