The Phoenix OS/2 Society General Meeting
 Tuesday, August 8th, 7 pm
Mountain Preserve Reception Center, 1439 East Dunlap
 OS/2: Full Steam Ahead

You've heard the stories... you've read the speculation...

At the general meeting of the Phoenix OS/2 Society on Tuesday,
August 8th, Jeff Fisher of IBM's OS/2 Systems Planning and Strategy
Group will set the record straight and get the facts on the table about
OS/2 running on the PowerPC. This upcoming product is under "full
steam ahead" development and has passed its first beta test milestones.
At this meeting, you'll hear what OS/2 Warp Connect (PowerPC Edition)
is, what it will do, how it is positioned in the OS/2 Family, and where
it's going in the future.

We'll also discuss IBM's continuing strategic commitment to OS/2, as well as
to the applications running upon it. At the end of the meeting, we'll have
a (lively, I'm sure!) discussion about your requirements for future
versions of OS/2.

The Phoenix OS/2 Society is a computer user group dedicated to
OS/2. We have monthly general meetings in addition to several special
interest group meetings. A $30 membership includes product discounts,
special access on the BBS, eligibility for door prizes, and a subscription
to the award-winning newsletter, extended attributes.

Directions: To get to the Mountain Preserve Reception Center, take the
Squaw Peak Parkway to Northern. Take Northern west to 12th Street,
and turn right. Head north on 12th Street to Dunlap, then turn right
on Dunlap.
