Four more F-16 fighter jets left the U.S. on Thursday headed for
Egypt as part of a foreign aid package that has generated controversy
given the political upheaval in the Mideast country.Critics say the military
aid should stop because the president Egyptians elected last year has led
the Muslim Brotherhood, called President Obama liar and urged that hatred
of Jews be instilled in children.A source who works on the naval
air base in Fort Worth, Texas, confirmed to FoxNews.com the departure of
the state-of-the-art fighter planes. The new shipment brings the total number
of F-16 jets given to Egypt this year to 12.Eight more F-16s
will be given to the Egyptian government before the end of the
year as part of a billion-dollar foreign aid deal signed in 2010
with then-Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a longtime U.S. ally. The U.S.
also will send 200 Abrams tanks.Critics, including several in Congress,
say it doesn't make sense to follow through with the package. While
current Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi has toned down his rhetoric since
his election last summer, in 2010 Morsi attacked Obama for supporting Israel. One
American president after another and most recently, that Obama talks
about American guarantees for the safety of the Zionists in Palestine,"
Morsi, then a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, said on Egyptian TV
in reaction to Obama's 2009 speech in Cairo. "[Obama] was very clear
when he uttered his empty words on the land
y some as amnesty. The new details emerged as
negotiators reached agreement on all the major elements of the sweeping
legislation. After months of arduous closed-door negotiations, the "Gang
of Eight" senators, equally divided between the two parties, had no issues
left to resolve in person, and no more negotiating sessions were planned.
Remaining details were left to aides, who were at work completing drafts
of the bill."All issues that rise to the member level have been
dealt with," Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said in a statement. "All that
is left is the drafting."Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois said the
bill probably would be introduced on Tuesday. The landmark legislation would
overhaul legal immigration programs, require all employers to verify the
legal status of their workers, greatly boost border security and put the
estimated 11 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally on a path
to citizenship. A top second-term priority for President Barack Obama, it
would enact the biggest changes to U.S. immigration law in more than
a quarter century.Deals gelled over the past day on a new farm-worker
program and visas for high-tech workers, eliminating the final substantive
disputes on the legislation.Next will come the uncertain public phase as
voters and other lawmakers get a look at the measure. Already, some
on the right have made it clear their opposition will be fierce.Once
the legislation is released, it will be consider

reporters: "This state of Missouri is not collecting a bunch of unuseful
data to send to some sort of magical database someplace to mess
with people. It's not happening."Republican Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder asserted
Thursday that Nixon had "misled Missourians." But Replogle and Spillars
said they had never told Nixon that the concealed guns list had
been shared with a federal investigator and only learned of it themselves
after the fact.Missouri lawmakers first raised privacy concerns last month
after learning that the Department of Revenue had in December begun making
electronic copies of driver's license applicants' personal documents, such
as concealed carry permits and birth certificates, to be kept in a
state database. Licensing officials say the intent is to catch fraud. They
note that a clerk at a St. Joseph office pleaded guilty in
December in a scheme that used false personal documents to issue licenses
to more than 3,500 people living in the U.S. illegally. The documents being
scanned under new state procedures were not provided to the federal government.
Instead, the federal investigator received an electronic list of concealed
carry permit holders that the Revenue Department compiled as part of its
duties of placing concealed carry endorsements on driver's licenses.Replogle
said a St. Louis-based investigator in the inspector general's office of

A Kentucky Democratic operative claimed Thursday that two leaders with a
local liberal group were the ones who secretly recorded a February strategy
session with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and his aides. The
allegation comes after McConnell claimed his office was bugged, following
the publication in Mother Jones magazine of the recorded meeting -- where
aides could be heard bashing then-potential challenger Ashley Judd.Jacob
Conway, who is with the Jefferson County Democratic Party, told Fox News
that two leaders with the group Progress Kentucky told him at the
time that they recorded the session. He said it wasn't a "Nixonian bugging,"
but could have been recorded with an iPhone.Conway told Fox News they
recorded the meeting from the hallway, and later told him about it."I
don't know why they were at the grand opening of his campaign
office. ... They overheard the conversation going on," he said. "To me
it was an extremely tacky conversation ... but it was a private
conversation nonetheless."Conway did not specifically say the operatives
gave the tape to Mother Jones, but said: "They told me they
were there. They told me they were in the hallway. They have
a recording. So you know, you can draw your own conclusions."Conway, who
said he used to be friends with the two individuals -- Shawn
Reilly and Curtis Morrison -- said he came forward because he didn't
want the situation tarnishing the Democratic Party. The FBI has been i
