ril.It can only be
bad thing for people to be haggling over seats, said Hunter, who
worked in the airline industry for more than 30 years. It could
start a trend that will be hard for the airline industry to
turn off. Once the airlines start letting this happen it could cause
serious problems, because inevitably there will be disputes. Where is it
going to stop?Currently, if onboard disputes arise, its up to the cabin
crew to resolve the situation. In any in-flight disagreement, if the captain
considers an argument a security issue, he can have the offending passenger
removed from the plane.Heather Poole, a flight attendant for a major U.S.
carrier and the author of Cruising Attitude: Tales of Crashpads, Crew Drama,
and Crazy Passengers at 35,000 Feet, has seen passengers offering each other
cash to switch seats without incident, and even has resorted to bribing
fellow passengers herself. When she was traveling with her 3-year-old son,
bought another passenger lunch and drinks in order to entice him to
switch seats, so she could sit next to her child."If I saw
someone trying to pay someone else off (to switch seats), I wouldn't
interfere.I'd assume they knew each other and someone owed the other person
money," said Poole.Experts say the traveling public should expect more seat
jockeying, as more travelers get stuck in middle seats or away from
family members.Andrew Thomas, an associate professor at the University of
Akron and travel i
arty movement. McConnell's a savvy veteran who has been preparing for a
stiff challenge for a couple years. He's known as a combative campaigner
who does not pull punchesor back down. When reporters asked McConnell about
the newcomer's criticism, he seemed eager for the emerging battle "I think
all of you know I love a good campaign and I think
we'll have one," he joked.Key for Bevin, who is worth about $12
million and has said he will spend some of it, will be
attracting big Tea Party dollars. Several other conservative groups are
closely watching the race and may weigh in for Bevin, including the
Club for Growth, the Senate Conservative Fund and the Madison Group which
have all helped Tea Partiers knock off GOP incumbents in the last
three years. But McConnell's political organization is huge, and with $15
million in his war chest and a national network of donors and
support, he is well prepared and armed for a long battle.McConnell has
also made sure he will not be caught off guard. For years
he's been fond of saying "if a rival flicks a pebble at
you, throw back a boulder." His first paid recognition of Bevin's candidacy
slammed the rookie politician's private sector experience for tax and bailout
hypocrisy. "Bevin's business was assessed at least eight liens for not paying
taxes. ... Bevin'scompany failed to pay taxes, then got a taxpayer bailout."
The ad ends with a catchy catch-phrase: "Bailout Bevin Bot a Kentucky
Conservative"

<p style="font-size:xx-small;"> A Detroit man who reportedly sired 24 children has been found dead
under mysterious circumstances inside a night club venue.Detroit Police
Department homicide detectives are probing the death of Deon Taylor, 45,
who was found dead by his brother inside the venue at Colfax
and Warren streets, where he earlier prepared for an upcoming graduation
party for one of his sons, MyFoxDetroit.com reports."His children are devastated,
said sister-in-law Ramona Harper. His grandchildren are devastated, and
all I can say is we're trying to deal with this. It's
hard.Authorities are now awaiting a medical examiners report to determine
Taylors cause of death.Deleesha Taylor said her father was a very loving,
strong man."I know deep down in my heart he served his purpose
here on earth," she continued.Click for more from MyFoxDetroit.com.
Tenn.Days earlier, Obama accused the House
GOP of risking another financial crisis by issuing ultimatums over the debt
ceiling and government funding."We've seen a group of Republicans in the
House, in particular, who suggest they wouldn't vote to pay the very
bills that Congress has already racked up," Obama said. "That's not an
economic plan. That's just being a deadbeat."Obama has reason to be cautiously
optimistic about the Senate, which passed a far-reaching immigration overhaul
Obama sorely sought with bipartisan support and struck a deal over Obama's
nominees that has led to a flurry of confirmations after months of
logjam. A number of prominent GOP senators have also criticized a Republican
plan to threaten a government shutdown unless funding is cut off for
Obama's health care law.But even in the Senate, there's skepticism about
Obama's intentions. Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said Obama's contrasting
tone about the House and Senate amounts to a divide-and-conquer strategy
that calls into question the White House's outreach."These discussions have
been going on for five years and no agreements have been reached
yet," Sessions said. "It could be the president is playing the Senate
like a fiddle."On most issues -- including pressing tax and spending matters
-- Senate and House Republicans are unified in their opposition. There was
no telling Republicans apart Tuesday, for instance, as they panned a corporate
tax cut and jobs spend
