San Franciscos City Hall reportedly dished out more than $25,000 in tickets
to department officials and politicians and their pals for a Jay-Z and
Justin Timberlake concert at Candlestick Park. The San Francisco Chronicle
reports that the city's Recreation and Park Department handed its general
manager, Phil Ginsburg, and staffers two-thirds of the tickets. Ginsburg
told the paper it's long-standing policy. Civic leaders and park stakeholders
are often invited to these concerts. The amount of tickets each supervisor
from the department received appeared to have varied. London Breed reportedly
received two $250 tickets while Jane Kim was given six luxury box
tickets valued at $1,860, the report said. Kim reportedly donated her seats
to a housing program.Click for more from SFGate.com
This handout image provided by the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum
shows an X-ray of an extravehicular (EV) overshoe that was designed to
be worn over the Apollo spacesuit boots while an astronaut was walking
on the Moon and a 1964 A4-H Universal helmet, showing in the
x-ray ball bearings in the neck ring that allowed the helmet to
move right and left without restriction.APThe familiar exteriors of astronauts'
spacesuits often hide all of the ingenuity and mechanics that are built
inside the suits, which were first imagined as "wearable spacecraft."Now
a new art exhibit, "Suited for Space," opening Friday at the Smithsonian's
National Air and Space Museum, highlights the creativity behind the suits
that allowed humans to explore the moon and aspire to fly farther
from Earth.X-ray images and photographs show the suits in intricate detail,
said space history curator Cathleen Lewis. The museum's X-rays are the first
such images ever created to study, conserve and research the nation's spacesuits.VIDEO:
Sleeping in a Space Station"You don't realize what a complex machine these
are," Lewis said. But the X-rays of Alan Shepard's Apollo spacesuit and
a 1960s prototype "allow visitors to see beyond what is visible to
the naked eye, through the protective layers of the suit to see
the substructures that are embedded inside."The exhibition traces the evolution
of the spacesuit from the early high-altitude test flight suits of the
1930s

<p style="font-size:xx-small;"> joined this effort to
end our relationship with Assad's arms supplier."Cornyn first challenged
the Pentagon over a prior contract with Rosoboronexport last year, and was
able to successfully pass an amendment in November barring the use of
funds for contracts with the company. But the latest contract used money
from the fiscal 2012 budget, which was approved before Cornyn's amendment. The
most recent $572 million contract would purchase 30 Mi-17 helicopters for
Afghan security forces, which deals with counterterrorism and other missions.
The contract also includes spare parts, test equipment and engineering support
services. The contract lasts through the end of 2014.It's unclear whether
Congress can do anything about that particular helicopter purchase, or just
block future purchases. The Pentagon has defended its arrangements with Rosoboronexport,
arguing that the Mi-17 helicopters are "uniquely suited" for Afghanistan.Spokeswoman
Maureen Schumann said last month that the Russian government has notified
the U.S. that Rosoboronexport is the "sole legal exporter of Mi-17s for
military use.""The department explored whether there were any alternatives
to contracting with Rosoboronexport to meet this requirement, but none were
identified," she told FoxNews.com.As for the company's work with Syria,
Russia's government has claimed the company's arms cannot be used against
Syria's civilian population. But Human Rights Watch claimed last year that
Real Housewives of New
Jersey, which premiered in early June, has reportedly completed the filming
process, so none of this new off-camera drama is likely to make
the airwaves anytime soon.It is unlikely that Bravo would be named in
any criminal action. However, Bravo may be concerned that someone may infer
they knew of the false representations made in the bankruptcy filings by
the Giudices with regards to any anticipated income and failed to take
the appropriate actions to correct the misrepresentations, Del Sardo said.
Bravo is most likely discussing this matter with its attorneys to make
a determination if the recent charges are grounds to terminate its contract
with the Giudices. Bravo may [need] to release them from the show
after these charges.Bravo declined to comment, and the United States Attorneys
Office, District of New Jersey, was not immediately available for comment.Teresa
Giudice issued a statement Tuesday advocating support for her husband and
family, along with hopes to resolve this matter with the government as
quickly as possible.
