Dear users of both large and small computing tools,
A new unstable release of Guikachu is available.
About Guikachu
==============
Guikachu is a GNOME application for graphical editing of resource
files for PalmOS-based pocket computers. The user interface is
modelled after Glade, the GNOME UI builder.
Catch it all from http://cactus.rulez.org/projects/guikachu/
Features
========
* Uses GNOME-VFS, you can load files from anywhere, e.g. from the
Web, from an SMB share, from a tarball.
* Exporting to/importing from PilRC .rcp files
* Support for non-Palm PilRC targets (like the eBookMan)
* Support for the following PalmOS resource types:
=09- String and string list resources
=09- Dialog resources
=09- Menu resources
=09- Form resources
=09- Bitmap resources
=09- Per-application resources (e.g. version number)
* WYSIWYG Form Editor, with drag & drop capability and visual resizing
* Flexible, complete undo support
* Sample file with sample GNU PalmOS SDK-based application
* Documentation (a complete user's manual)
About this release
==================
This release is part of the 1.5 development branch, so it's all about
crazy experimentations and not about providing a polished, well-tested
product. However, 1.5.6 now contains everything planned for our next
stable release, 2.0, so please help us by trying it and reporting
problems.
New in this release:
Completely reworked the menu editor, based on valuable input from the
GNOME Usability Workgroup.
Guikachu uses the GNOME 2 platform, particularly the GNOMEmm and GTKmm
C++ bindings. To actually create the PalmOS resource files, you will also
need PilRC (part of the GNU PalmOS SDK) to compile the .rpc files
produced by Guikachu.

Subject: ANNOUNCE: web2ldap release 0.16.0
HI!
Find a new release of web2ldap on
http://www.web2ldap.de/download.html
About:
web2ldap is a full-featured LDAPv3 client written in Python and designed
to run as a stand-alone Web gateway or under the control of a web server
with FastCGI or SCGI support (e.g., Apache with mod_fastcgi or mod_scgi).
Ciao, Michael.
===============================================================
0.16.0
Release Date: 2005-11-07
Installation and Configuration changes
+ Note: This release requires upgrading to Python 2.3.x or
newer.
+ Note: This release requires upgrading to python-ldap 2.0.10
which supports LDAPv3 extended controls.
New features/enhancements
+ Support for controls which are handled exactly like
ManageDSAIT in the user interface (see [ConnInfo]):
o ManageDIT (1.3.6.1.4.1.4203.666.5.12)
o Two controls for searching subentries (see RFC 3672
and draft-ietf-ldup-subentry-07.txt)
+ When displaying entries or an input form with the help
of HTML templates the templates are applied in the
order of the kind of the object classes. Order is
STRUCTURAL, AUXILIARY, ABSTRACT.
+ Added plugin class for pilotPerson (see RFC 1274).
+ All cached LDAP information (entries and sub schema) can be
flushed (see [ConnInfo]).
+ Transfer subtype ;binary is used when creating input fields
for attributes which needs this transfer type.
Bug Fixes
+ The letter small x is now allowed in the syntax classes for
telephone and FAX numbers.
+ If an error causes the input form to be re-displayed the
values entered for binary attributes are omitted.
+ Setting TLS-related options is more robust now.

Subject: SHAREWARE: txt2pdf 8.4
We would like to announce txt2pdf 8.4 version.
http://www.sanface.com/txt2pdf.html
txt2pdf is shareware; it is a very flexible and powerful Perl5 script
that converts text files to PDF format files, so you can use it in
every operating systems supported by Perl5, including Linux in every
its distribution on every processor (e.g. zaurus, os/390, os/400).
Here nice examples made using txt2pdf PRO
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/Purchase_Order.pdf
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/oldinvoice.pdf
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/hfmus.pdf
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/heraldbill.pdf
If you prefer we also distribute executables for Windows, Linux,
Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Mac OS X. Inside the Windows version you can
find a VB GUI: Visual txt2pdf.
What's new in this version
We have added ID: (optional, but strongly recommended from PDF 1.1) a
file identifier for the file. Although this entry is optional, its
absence might prevent the file from functioning in some workflows that
depend on files being uniquely identified. If yu don't want to use ID
you can use noid : 1
Test txt2pdf 8.4!
You can find it at http://www.sanface.com/txt2pdf.html

Subject: ANN: python-ldap-2.0.11
Reply-To: python-list@python.org,
Find a new release of python-ldap:
http://python-ldap.sourceforge.net/
python-ldap provides an object-oriented API to access LDAP directory
servers from Python programs. It mainly wraps the OpenLDAP 2.x libs for
that purpose. Additionally it contains modules for other LDAP-related
stuff (e.g. processing LDIF, LDAPURLs and LDAPv3 schema).
================================================================
Released 2.0.11 2005-11-07
Changes since 2.0.10:
Lib/
* Class ldap.ldapobject.LDAPObject:
Each method returns a result now
* Class ldap.ldapobject.ReconnectLDAPObject:
Some methods called the wrong methods of LDAPObject. Fixed.
* Added new class ldap.async.Dict
* Slightly cleaned up ldap.schema.subentry.attribute_types()
* New sub-module ldap.resiter which simply provides a mix-in
class for ldap.ldapobject.LDAPObject with a generator method
allresults().
Obviously this only works with Python 2.3+. And
it's still experimental.
