TCPfork 2.23 is now available at [ http://www.TCPfork.net ] (Release Date: October 9, 2005)

Changes to previous release (2.14):
- The connection scheduler has been further optimized and now operates with multithreading only.
- Preforking has been removed due to stability issues and ambiguities in internal load balancing.
- Threads are created on demand per default, prethreading can optionally be activated (-t option).
- Select() has been replaced internally by poll() which consumes less memory resources per thread.
- The "select timeout" has been renamed consequently to be called "socket timeout".
- The manual has been updated to version 2.23.0.

TCPfork is a userland TCP proxy with advanced load balancing capabilities. Its core features
are the ability to load balance on a "least connection" basis and the ability to take the machine
load into account ("least load" or "least resource" load balancing). This is implemented by
using the bngagent UDP protocol. It performs "TCP open" health checks by default and allows
the use of external health check scripts. TCPfork 2.x introduces a highly optimized multithreading
connection scheduler, allowing fast processing of high numbers of concurrent connections.

TCPfork 1.x stays available, the licenses are valid for both TCPfork 1.x and TCPfork 2.x .

TCPfork runs on many different platforms and is available commercially with free trial.
TCPfork is available at [ http://www.TCPfork.net ].
