The compiler team at Sun Microsystems is pleased to make available
engineering builds of Sun Studio Compilers for the Linux OS. These
engineering builds are freely available to the Linux community for
evaluation purposes on x64 (AMD64) and x86-based systems. Newer builds
will bring additional functionality and improved quality, so check back

I'm thinking of starting a LUG up in South Jersey seeings how the 4 other
LUG's in New Jersey are up north. Anyone live in the South Jersey area
that would be interested in going to a LUG near them?

I am looking to start a LUG in South Jersey and wondered if there were
already any LUG's in the South Jersey area that I'm not aware of...

Subject: DACS 1.4.5 released

August 17, 2005

DSS is pleased to announce DACS version 1.4.5.

This is primarily a bug fix release. All users are advised to upgrade.

This release contains:
 - many bug fixes (including some important ones) and revised documentation
 - acs_expr is now dacsexpr, with some new functions
 - an upgrade to openssl-0.9.7g, with preparations for openssl-0.9.8
 - initial development towards many features expected to appear in
the next release (user acknowledged, resource-associated notices
such as copyright, licensing, terms-of-use, and message-of-the-day notices),
dynamically loadable functions, support for OpenSSL 0.9.8 features.

DACS is:
o a flexible and powerful role-based access control system
  o a set of feature-rich authentication methods
o an Apache 2.0.X module and suite of CGI programs
o a federated identity management system (single sign-on)
o oriented towards (but not limited to) controlling access to web service
requests made using standard web browsers
o a C/C++ toolkit for building new authentication and access control
functionality into programs, whether web-based or not
o for Unix-type platforms (currently), such as Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris

DACS can help you to manage access to web resources in many situations,
whether you have just one web server, several web servers at one site, or
many web servers spread across the Internet. You may find it to be
useful simply as a universal authentication mechanism for a single Apache
server or as a full-fledged, single sign-on multi-server identity management
and access control system.

DACS 1.4.5 is released under dual licensing terms (a GPL-compatible open
source license and a commercial license).

DACS is hosted on SourceForge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/dacs
