Subject: sysstat-6.0.1 - System performance tools for Linux
Date: 25 Jun 2005 11:00:01 GMT
Hi all,
A new stable version for sysstat has been released and is available for
download.
Version 6.0.1 contains important bug fixes, among which a memory leak
concerning sar and iostat, and a bug preventing sar -b from working.
Sysstat 6.0.1 is available for download from my web page at:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/sebastien.godard/
148kB sysstat-6.0.1.tar.gz
117kB sysstat-6.0.1.tar.bz2
151kB sysstat-6.0.1-1.src.rpm
136kB sysstat-6.0.1-1.i586.rpm
It will also be available on ibiblio Linux archive site in a few days:
ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/system/status/
The sysstat utilities are a collection of performance monitoring tools
for Linux. These include sar, sadf, mpstat, iostat and sa tools.
Feedback always welcomed. Send your remarks and comments to:
sysstat <at> wanadoo.fr.

Enjoy!
Changes vs 6.0.0 are:
* Fixed a memory leak in ioconf parsing functions used by sar and iostat.
* sar now displays its statistics to STDOUT in addition to saving them
into the file when option -o has been entered on the command line.
* sar now recalculates number of system items (network interfaces,
disks, serial lines, etc.) when a file rotation happens.
* Make sar -b work again when used without option -d.
* Small changes so that sysstat can be compiled with gcc-4.0.1.
* sysstat updated so that it may be installed on Slackware.
