This is an automated report about activity of our newsgroup
comp.os.linux.announce. It covers period between the
previous report and the current one, ending
on Mon Oct 18 00:05:01 CDT 2004.
Note that we do not report the number of articles cancelled
after they got approved, because the cancellations are done
manually. Typically messages get cancelled by requests of
posters themselves.
Lastly, the statistics below are skewed towards higher numbers because
there are always some test messages from moderators themselves who
approve and reject them to make sure that our robomoderator functions
properly.

Subject: Reviewers wanted for Linux-Mobile-Guide
Hello,
the Linux-Mobile-Guide[1] guide covers laptop, notebook, PDA and mobile (cell)
phone related Linux features, such as installation methods (via network
interface, without CD/DVD drive, etc.), hardware features (PCMCIA, IrDA,
BlueTooth, APM, ACPI, etc.) and configurations for different environments.
It is published under the GNU Free Documentation Licence.
I have just submitted the new issue 3.15 to The Linux Documentation
Project - TLDP[2]. TLDP tries to achieve a quality assurance for
their documents and therefore requires a language and technical review
for all their HOWTOs and Guides before they will be published.
If you would like to help to review the document please send me
a note.

Subject: TuxMobil: more than 2.500 laptop installation reports
Dear List Members,
today TuxMobil has got the submission of the 2.500th Linux laptop
and notebook installation report[1]. Additionally there are 182
Linux PDA reports[2], 149 Linux mobile cell phone reports[3],
compatibility hints for 510 PCMCIA/CF and CardBus cards[4], 335
compatibility remarks about InfraRed[5] capable devices and reports
about 22 portable audio and video players[6] available.
All surveys are completed by links to appropriate drivers and
applications.
In case you have written a Linux compatibility report yourself,
please contact me, I will add a link to your document, too.
