Subject: CK-ERP v.0.8.1 released
The first release, v.0.8.1, of CK-ERP, has been posted at
SourceForge.Net, http://sourceforge.net/projects/ck-erp and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ck-ledger . New features (comparing
to CK-Ledger 0.7.3) include total rewrite of CK-Ledger codebase,
ck-api, ck-contact, concurrent edit/delete, exclusive execution of
critical functions, school band / property management sample chart of
account, access to individual transaction update history, detail
archive of all transaction changes (post-insert, post-edit, pre-delete
image), uniform table name prefix, approval cancellation, separate
salary payment function, delete validation, restructuring of
transaction filtering, checksum verification before frontline script
execution, restructuring of default value edit and many others.
Contribution from Jerre Cope in providing the sample school band chart
of account is greatly appreciated. Congratulation is also due to the
phpGroupWare team in developing the excellent addressbook module,
which forms the basis of the concurrent ck-contact module.
Please note that there are substantial differences between CK-ERP and
CK-Ledger's data structure. Direct upgrade of CK-Ledger data to run
within CK-ERP is not possible. Manual data transportation is
required. CK-ERP also requires php v.4.2 or above to run correctly.
CK-ERP (with 16 modules, Admin, Contact Mgmt, Ledger, Bank
Reconciliation, Inventory, Service, AP, AR, PO, SO, Quotation, POS for
Cashier, POS for Manager, HR, Staff Self Service, Payroll) runs on top
of phpGroupWare. Operating platform can either be LAMP or LAPP. It
provides accounting and back office functionalities to SMEs and
utilizes phpgw to administer accounts/groups. Please report error and

FlightGear is a free, open-source, multi-platform flight simulator.

Subject: SC_Timer, the Session Chair Timer V1.0

SC_Timer is a kind of count-down timer which is especially convenient for session chairs in conferences who need to manage their
speakers. It offers a big white count-down display that you can make as big as your screen, for the speaker to see. It will turn
yellow -say- ten minutes before time is over, then turn red five minutes before the end. When the presentation time is over, it will
display a big red flashing "Off". Alternatively, the timer can be set to count up (from 0 to programmed time) instead of down.
There is also a regular clock in the upper right corner that tells you the current time.
Of course, the program is really a general count-down timer, and you can use it for all your count-down needs!
SC_Timer is fully written in Ada. It can be used as a not-too-complicated example of using Ada, GtkAda (the Glade project file is
included in the source distribution), tasking, and tasking with GtkAda!
SC_Timer is available from Adalog's free programs page at http://www.adalog.fr/progs2.htm. It is distributed as source or
ready-to-go executable for Linux and Windows.

Hi,
If you have the fantastic book from NoStarch called "Programming Linux
Games" (Loki Software + John R. Hall, ISBN 1-886411-49-2) and have
downloaded the source from their website, you will have had no end of
problems getting the code to compile cleanly, if indeed at all!
Help is at hand!
I have now updated the source code so that everything will compile
cleanly and in some cases, actually compile!
The files can be found at

along with a brief changelog.
Prerequisites

1. gcc 2.95 or above
2. libsndfile
3. OpenAL
4. SDL
5. tcl 8.3 or above
Makefiles are provided for all sections except for the SDL example code.

Though I have contacted NoStarch to ask for their permission to put the
code up (more as a courtesy as the code is covered by the GPL), the
material I have put on my site contains no warranty for suitability,
stability or anything else like that. The code has been compiled and

If NoStarch request, I will remove the code from my site.
