From: info@sanface.com (SANFACE Software)
Subject: Shareware: txt2pdf 7.3

We would like to announce txt2pdf 7.3 version.
http://www.sanface.com/txt2pdf.html
txt2pdf is shareware; it is a very flexible and powerful Perl5 script
that converts text files to PDF format files, so you can use it in
every operating systems supported by Perl5, including MPE/iX, OpenVMS
and EPOC.
It's simple to design background like invoices, orders etc.
Here nice examples made using txt2pdf PRO
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/Purchase_Order.pdf
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/oldinvoice.pdf
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/hfmus.pdf
http://www.sanface.com/pdf/heraldbill.pdf
If you prefer we also distribute executables for Windows, Linux,
Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Mac OS X. Inside the Windows version is
Visual txt2pdf, a VB GUI.

What's new in this version

If inside a line of your textual report txt2pdf will find the special
underline mark (the mark you have specified with underline option) the
rest of the line will be write at the begin of the same line.

Test txt2pdf 7.3!
You can find it at http://www.sanface.com/txt2pdf.html

Subject: Linux ballot editing script

Votescript was recently posted to Usenet alt.politics with the Subject:
this one basically works
and will appear in a few days at
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/install/clienux/inteim/votescript

It is a Bash script that uses a PC and printer to edit a printed ballot
and keep a tally file for political and other elections. This provides
election accountability TO the public, creates redundant records, and
avoids such things as hanging chads.

sn 0.3.7 is now available at <http://www.iki.fi/patrik/sn/>.

sn is a small news system for small sites serving perhaps a few
dozen newsgroups, and with a slow connection to the internet.

For more details, see the web page.

From: Staf Wagemakers <staf.wagemakers@the-ecorp.com>
Subject: CGIpaf 1.3.0 released
Date: 27 Apr 2004 19:15:14 GMT

About:

cgipaf is a combination of three CGI programs.

passwd.cgi: which allow users to update their password,
viewmailcfg.cgi: which allows users to view their current mail
                    configuration
mailcfg.cgi: which updates the mail configuration.

All programs use PAM for user authentication. It is possible to run a
script to update SAMBA passwords or NIS configuration when a password
is changed.

mailcfg.cgi creates a .procmailrc in the user's home directory. Other
mail configuration are supported by an external script. A sample perl
script with vacation support is included in the source code.

Users with too many invalid logins can be locked. The minimum and
maximum UID can be set in the configuration file, so you can specify
a range of UIDs that are allowed to use cgipaf.

CGIpaf 1.3.0 is the latest stable release and is available at:

http://staf.patat.org/cgipaf/

Debian packages ( sarge & sid ) are availabe at:

http://staf.patat.org/debian/

Changes:

* Linuxconf (or similar) virtual mail password files are now supported.
* NetBSD support was added
* support for more advanced mail configuration scripts was implemented.
* The PAM functions should now work on Solaris 9+.

have Fun,

Subject: BitTorrent ISO mirrror for various distributions
Date: 27 Apr 2004 19:15:21 GMT

We're running a tracker at http://usagi.cs.umass.edu/ to help us
evaluate BitTorrent for other applications. Currently available ISO
images include i386 binaries for fedora-yarrow, debian-sarge,
debian-30r1, gentoo-minimal, gentoo-universal, and slackware-9.1. We
are aware that some of these distributions have existing trackers for
downloaders to join, but we need the traffic.

We are also happy to accept suggestions for additional distributions
to mirror. Thanks for your time.
