This is an announce for the fourth official version of MD, a
device driver that groups several hard disks or partitions into a
single block device, so it is now possible to have files that grow
across devices. Please note that it is still ALPHA.

WARNING : versions 0.14 and 0.15 have a nasty bug in the way chunks
are distributed on devices (striped mode only, linear is safe). If
you are upgrading from those versions, you won't be able to retrieve
your data. So, you MUST backup your files living on your md devices
FIRST, compile the new kernel and reboot. THEN mkfs your md devices
and reinstall your files. If your using md devices as swap devices, do
a mkswap on them.

PLEASE don't use 0.14 and 0.15 versions anymore. The bug won't crash
your system, but will give you I/O errors in some circumstances. The
best thing to do is to upgrade to 1.2.5 (at least...) and then to
apply md v0.19 patch.

I repeat : SAVE YOUR FILES BEFORE USING THE 0.19 VERSION !!!

What's new since 0.15 :
Big changes in the way md requests are trapped. The code may
be somewhat less efficient, but much nicer to the kernel layering
(only minor changes in ll_rw_block.c). Personalities are now separated
from the main driver (should be easy to modularize...). Bug fix (see
above). Big speed improvement due to better read ahead management.

Thanks to:
All the fine people that sent me success stories and docs,
everybody at P7 for friendship, disks and Guiness (Friday@we-64).
