Version 0.9.2 of Automatous Monk has just been released:

Automatous Monk is a Java program that maps cellular automaton evolutions
into music. The resulting music is represented as jMusic scores that can be
played and saved as MIDI files.  Version 0.9.2 contains a new application,
GarageBand Loop Generator, that allows you to create MIDI files that can be
converted to GarageBand loops.

Examples of tunes composed by Automatous Monk can be found at the Monk's
