Subject: Pepper Pad Tablet PC
Design. The Pepper Pad[1] is sort of a Tablet PC equipped with Montavista
Embedded Linux[2]. The Pepper Pad offers the simplicity of a PDA with PC-like
capabilities. The Pepper Pad can be customized with faceplates, is rugged
enough to survive a backpack or briefcase and is splash resistant. Optional
accessories include a CD-R/DVD and full-size wireless keyboard. Pepper
Computer is looking for business partners interested in manufacturing the
Pepper Pad or similar Wi-Fi devices. See TuxMobil.org for more information
about Linux on TabletPCs[3].

Subject: Gentoo For Zaurus Linux PDA
Another free Linux distribution for PDAs was just born. Gentoo For Zaurus[1]
is a port of the Gentoo Distribution to the Zaurus PDA. It can be
mounted over NFS so no changes to a current configuration are needed. It
includes a native gcc environment for the ARM CPU, the zgcc-3.3.1 cross
compiler for the main PC with distcc configured so that the main PC does
the actual compiling, and X11 for testing applications. See TuxMobil.org
for more information about Linux on PDAs and handheld computers[2].

Subject: Linux on a Laptop with 64bit CPU (First Report)
It is only a few weeks ago since laptops with 64bit CPU became
available. The first installation report about Linux on a laptop with
AMD64 CPU is online now. It covers Debian/GNU Linux and Kernel 2.6 on
a Xeron Sonic Pro 800MX laptop.
