Subject: NSRIO 0.0.4 released
NSRIO (NetWorker Server Device I/O Statistics) is a freeware (GPL) utility,
somewhat similar to "iostat", but reporting on Legato NetWorker (tape) devices.
Source code and binaries for Linux, SunOS, HP, SGI etc. are available at:
http://nmhds.sourceforge.net
The NSRIO utility prints every interval a sampled performance of a tape
device used with the NetWorker backup software.
NSRIO can also report other statistics (current record, current file etc.) on
each tape device. There are options to save the output in a file, or to
display only the devices of a specific storage node.
Example output (showing performance in MB/s and number of sessions) :
%H:%M:%S /dev/nst0 /home/advfile /home/advfile/_AF_readonly
15:33:05 7.0 2 0.0 0 0.0 0
15:33:07 4.5 2 0.0 0 0.0 0
15:33:09 4.5 2 0.0 0 0.0 0
15:33:11 4.0 2 0.0 0 0.0 0
