GNU TeXmacs 1.0.1.21
by Joris van der Hoeven - Monday, August 4th 2003 07:46 PDT
About: GNU TeXmacs is a free scientific text editor, which was
inspired by both TeX and GNU Emacs. The editor allows you to write
structured documents via a "wysiwyg" and user friendly interface. The
program implements high quality typesetting algorithms and TeX fonts.
It is also possible to use TeXmacs as an interface to computer
algebra systems. Finally, TeXmacs supports the Guile/Scheme extension
language, which makes it possible to adapt the user interface to
specific needs, and even to extend the editor.
Changes: Several editing facilities have been added for computer
algebra sessions. Fine-grained error handling has been implemented
for interfaces with extern systems.

Give credit where credit is due. Linux is just the kernel. Without the efforts of people involved with the GNU project the Linux kernel would not be very useful to most people.See http://www.gnu.org/gnu/linux-and-gnu.html to know more
