After so many talks about the pros and cons of "Linux The OS" with
so many people, we have decided that the time has come to get
a real Linux event in Montreal.
Here is a list of what we expect to show at LINUX-EXPO-MONTREAL:
-Commercial package already available.
-Beta of new package, or package recently ported to Linux to
test its market.
-Some hardware shops.
-Some consultants.
We will setup a showcase running a network a linux stations
showing linux...
As a file and print server
As an internet gateway
As an X terminal.
As an application server.
As a workstation.
Who should attend this event ? If you answer yes to any of the following
question, you can't miss this event.
-What Linux can do for me ?
-Is Linux a workable/better subsitute for the OS
I currently use in my environnement ?
-Is there a market for my product in the Linux world ?
-Is there enough quality apps ?
-Is there local support ?
The details of the event are not yet finalized. This is why I am sending
this message. In order to better qualify the event, I would like
to collect some data. Please send email to linux-expo@solucorp.qc.ca
or reply to this message. Just fill the following small survey.
The survey will be used only to collect numbers. Those who answer
yes to the second question will be contact by email.
