MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Portland Linux Users Group
meets
6 PM on the first Thursday of the month
at
Portland State University
in the
Portland Center for Advanced Technology Building
1800 SW 6th
Room PCAT-103
(Exceptions will be handled as follows. First, all changes will be
posted on the discussion group plug@aseTT.com. Second, someone
will be meet people in PCAT-103 at 6 PM and explain any changes,
or at least leave a note.)

Format:
6:00 PM Meet at PCAT-103
sean will be over at Neuberger getting the projection system
ready.
Everyone else will use this time to take care of
organizational matters, discuss things from the
previous meeting, and discuss general Linux topics
like new releases and Linux in the news.
6:30 PM Demonstration or talk
This should not exceed 1 hour.
7:30 PM Linux BEER time
Go to McMenamins (or other near by pub)
where we can break into smaller groups to discuss topics
Demonstration will be:
Live Web Crawl with netscape into shoostring.com, and other linux
oriented web sites.
We have arranged for a large projection system for this.
Discussion of Web Services.
Lots of Questions and Answer(attempts)
