I've just seen (on cygwin32 ported applications list) that there is another
porting project for the GIMP:

Does this have something to do with yours? I think not, because as it says
on this page, it needs an X server running on the machine, but it says that
it has ported as well GTK.
Maybe you are interested in knowing this....
