And I would like to propose that this is NOT added to glib (which is
REQUIRED by gtk) but put in a separate 'date-utils' lib that one can
either install or ignore.
Please remember other languages do have libraries providing date and
time functions. Don't force others to get bigger libs with redundant
functionality.
