Is this not the central point where the moc in Qt and the adaptor classes
(anonymous interfaces etc.) of jdk-1.1 come in?
Closures would be nice for this. A function pointer in combination with
a data pointer (environment pointer) is called a closure in functional
languages and scheme. Direct support of closures by the toolkit would be
a win?
