[gtk-list] What's going to happen to GtkText?

Hi,
If my memory serves me correctly, a couple of times mention has been made of
dropping or replacing GtkText.
Can anyone tell me more about this? I am very interested in getting hold
of whatever's going to replace it, even if it has some problems.
