It looks to me like you have the wrong version of glib. I don't know why
you would have a file with the name libglib-1.1.1a otherwise. See below for
a list of the glib 1.1 files installed on my machine. My copy of glib comes
from the CVS repository as was last updated last night.
libglib-1.1.so.4 -> libglib-1.1.so.4.0.0
libglib-1.1.so.4.0.0
libglib.a
libglib.la
libglib.so -> libglib-1.1.so.4.0.0
