Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get a good detailed description of the Crypto Export Restriction for transporting crypto hardware out of the states
(to europe) ?
I want to buy some radio-hardware in the states that uses a 64 bit key (according to the borchure), but is in fact uses nothing more that a 56 bit DES key.
Since it is not a 100% sure it uses DES they might claim it uses a '64 bit key' ...

Would it be legal for a usa resident to ship the radio's to europe ?
And would it be legal for me (as a european) to take the radios with me to europe ?

Greetings,

Barry.
