In the same vein as Internetcash.com,
Internetmoney.com (http://www.internetmoney.com/html/witic-faq.htm)
Distributes a wallet-CD with a "token" and a pin. The sign up is not
anonymous. It appears to be a third party payment gateway like
FirstVirtual was but they will ultimately use any payment source, CC,
DDA, whatever.
The merchant never gets your payment info. So everything resides on IM's
"secure servers". Makes me feel real comfy :-)
