Is this like the SPKI idea of having lots of independent but linked
namespaces? I started writing a Java PGP keyring viewer that tried to present
PGP (name,key) bindings in this way, which anyone is welcome to a copy of.
You could also of course work in a distributed way -- everyone runs their own
nameserver, and you just connect to each person's when you need to update your
information from them...
