There's an AP Wire story in the Palo Alto paper about
http://www.cybercrime.gov , a new Justice Department web site,
which describes what computer crime is and how to report on it.
There are twelve sections, including
http://www.cybercrime.gov/crypto.html - a crypto FAQ
and sections on the laws, hate speech, intellectual property,
critical infrastructure protection, etc.
It's got a lot of documentation of various government blurbs,
speeches, blatant lobbying letters from Janet Reno to Congress, etc.,
many of them in a useful "paragraph of abstract plus URL" format.
Some of the bits are old - the encryption FAQ is from April 98,
when the Administration was still trying hard to get key recovery.
And there are pointers to other pages, such as the DOJ Kids' Page.
The blurb on netlaw saws:
