Nope, I don't have this turned on. It still sends out the messages as
attachments.

You're right, (1) is more an annoyance than a security hazard. But I
think that I should have the option of deciding whether an encrypted
message contains my signature. Maybe you could put in a word with the
Powers That Be ?
