Dear Confidant,
I, John England an Army contractor attached with the U.S Military force in
Iraq write this piece with a high sense of sincerity, trust and as my
confidant. On the 12th day of January 2008, my four (4) workers and I were
alerted on the need for some reconstruction works in Haifa Street, a long
thoroughfare of high-rise buildings built and occupied by Saddam Hussein
when he lived, here in Baghdad. When we got to the site and commenced work,
to our chagrin we discovered an underground bunker in one of those
buildings; and after a thorough search into the bunker, we saw two boxes
safely sealed and hidden, I told my men to open those boxes to ascertain the
contents, after they were opened to our amazement the boxes contained some
U.S Dollars which amounted to $18 Million after we had counted them.
Having told you this as my confidant, it will be my delight and pleasure if
you assist me towards actualizing my dream with this development.
Unanimously, we agreed to keep this as a secret among ourselves, and agreed
to get the money out of the country for ourselves but first, it is hidden in
a safe and untraceable location. Now, I DESPERATELY need a " RELIABLE and
TRUSTWORTHY" person like you who would receive, secure and safe guard these
boxes containing the U.S dollars for me up on till my assignment elapses
here in Iraq.
These boxes cannot be left here in Iraq as there is increasing insecurity
and uncertainties as the days go by. Be assured of receiving 20% of this
fund in the end; however feel free to negotiate otherwise in this deal. Once
again, I confide strictly in you and appeal that you keep this topmost
secret so that I do not loose my job. Looking forward to reading from you
