	Thanks Rob. My reference to the "suggested Solaris 2.3 defines"
was simply to uncomment the CFLAGS definition for -DSOLARIS2X in the
makefile.

	Unfortunately the code change you provided didn't work. I
really don't think I'm getting that far. I'll find the 1.4.0beta2
version and give that a shot. I still don't see where the cattach
food chain actually "mkdirs" the cattach "name" at the CFS mount point.

	Then again maybe installing a newer version of ELM might
help.
