hi.
first of all: i'm not a unix expert.
i just installed cfs-1.4.0beta2 on my freebsd4 box. actually it work's, but
not exactly the way it should, i suppose. so i have some questions.
(1) i don't use the amd (actually i'm not sure how to configure it), but
added the mount command at the end of the cfsd startup script instead.
ok or not? & if not, where can i find an introduction, what amd is & how it
works? (i read the man pages, but wihout the basics ...)
(2) i need to enable the 'normal' nfsd. otherwise
#/sbin/mount -o -U,port=3049,intr localhost:/null /crypt
leads to
localhost:/null: RPCMNT: clnt_create: RPC: Programm not registert
is this a result of (1)? & do i really need to enable nfsd?
(3) i experienced problems with file & directory names that contained spaces
or special characters. is there anything i can do about it? besides not to
use such names.
thanks for your help.
kind regards
platanthera
