The solution for SuSE 6.4 seems to be a combination of commenting out
the IPv6 stuff that the setup program puts in /etc/hosts and the addition
of these lines to /etc/services:

portmapper 111/udp
portmapper 111/tcp

I don't know why this works; I had CFS working under SuSE 6.3 and
it didn't have those lines in /etc/services either. The solution
was posted on the SuSE English mailing list.
