Brothers of Alpha Phi Omega throughout Cyberspace . . .
I am pleased to be a part of this little technological miracle
we call a mail server. My name is Robert Louis Pilaud and I am a
Civil Engineering and Architecture major at Clemson University. I
entered the Brotherhood of the Gamma Lambda Chapter in the Spring of
1992, and have been learning ever since.
Indeed, my involvement with Gamma Lambda has been a growing
experience, and I have found true Friendship in the hearts of my
fellow Brothers. My Brothers have made Clemson a home away from home.
I am particularly interested in discussing the future of our
Fraternity. On the local level, I like to be as optimistic as
possible about our Chapter and its ever-increasing influence on the
Clemson University campus and surrounding community. I take pride
in our Chapter's history and tradition, and feel a great responsibility
in furthuring its cause into the future.
In general, I have become increasingly concerned about the general
trend of our generation (born somewhere between 1969 and 1979) to
abandon morality, tradition, and any sense of responsibility for the
world around us. Our Fraternity represents a divergence from this
apathy, and for this reason more than any other, we must work to spread
the message of our Founders to as many as will listen. Never has
Service to our fellow man been more essential than today.
I welcome any associated or disassociated correspondence to this
subject.
I look forward to many intellectual conversations with my fellow
Brothers of Alpha Phi Omega. And, even in a bad year, "Go Tigers."
