Hey everyone out there. While looking at the 3 gopher servers, ftp site,
and world wide web host that represent our fraternity, I realized that the
resources are out there, the goal is to make them as available as possible.
So far as I can tell, the chapter bylaws that are circulating around were
only available 3 ways:
Email from Rusty (he's doing a heck of a job keeping the newest ones up and
distributing them)
Ftp from the site here (vtucs.cc.vt.edu)
World wide web from mit.
Well, add gopher to the list. I changed the permissions on that directory
and you can now get them from gopher.vt.edu
Here's how:
gopher to gopher.vt.edu (main Tech gopher, I gues. Also called Eris gopher)
go to experimental file system and then nyman.
You will see the same thing that anonymous ftp people see except that it is
on gopher. The apobylaw directory is now open for general access (ftp
also). It's buried pretty deep if you think about it.
The Alpha.Phi.Omega (these are filenames, no spaces in them :( ) directory
is under construction and will probably continue to be for a while.
Just thought I'd make that available and see what happened to demand.
BTW, the IP address for the site should be 128.173.4.72
