Brothers,
Autumn. It's that time of year, where our minds are thinking
about regionals, and that means ROAD TRIPS!!! Now I said to myself,
"Self, wouldn't it be neat if there was a guide to road trips.
You know, something to tell you not to eat a restaurant that has some
sort of unidentifiable animal in it's logo. Something to tell you to
bring along a spill proof bottle for your soft drinks. How to deal
with various situations, such as losing one of the cars in the caravan,
etc."
So I thought I could something along a FAQ to road-tripping.
Sure, you can get some of that stuff from Triple-A or some
organization like that, but I want to read about your real road trip
experiences while and write about the stuff that they won't tell you,
such as how to make it fun while still getting there on time.
Some sub-topics may include:
1. Caravan Strategies
2. Roads NOT to take
3. General "do"s and "don't"s
4. Various family member combinations
5. What to do if you get lost
6. Map reading for those without a clue,
7. Amusing anecdotes telling how you got out of a sticky situation
8. And, of course, games to play and songs to sing.
So please send me your stories and such to es2r+@andrew.cmu.edu
**If you quote an article, PLEASE cite your source.**
If you want the final copy of the FAQ, include that in your e-mail.
