I agree with the comment made by Laura at Bowling Green. The 1996 National
Convention is definitely nothing to get upset over because we do have a lot
of time to look at the options.
Fortunately, I can say that we plan to look at all different alternatives
that are available to us here in Region X. We already have people doing some
initial research in various places, and we plan to organize our efforts with
an initial meeting in October at the Section 4 Fall Fellowship Conference. I
do believe that all of Region X will unite behind a preferred convention site
once we do the research and narrow them down to the top two or three sites.
But then, that's how Region X normally works. We tend to work together and
unite behind a common cause here.
