For those of you who have been waiting for info, I talked to Chris Barker,
conferance chair, last night and got the details. Packets to chapters should
have been mailed today (9/8).

Region VII conferance is October 8,9,10. The event is hosted by Epsilon Beta
Chapter, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI. (1 hr north of
Lansing, MI -- Michigan State Capital).

The cost is $20 per person due by the 24th of September. A late charge of $2
will be added to registrations arriving after that date.

For those who expressed concerns at Nationals, this will be a dry conferance,
with no alcohol provided as part of the conferance fee.

I was given a outline of the schedule, and I will have a better schedule when
I recieve my packet. General Schedule:

Friday: Registration
Fellowship Activity at Centenial Hall, Mt. Pleasant -
Refreshments provided. (I don't know the theme)

Saturday: Nothing was mentioned, but I believe contanental breakfast
(rolls & coffee/oj) will be provided -- don't quote me
              Regional & Sectional Meetings

              Lunch will be provided

Seminars: 8-9 different sessions, about 1 hr each. Each will be
repeated twice during the afternoon. You will have the
opportunity to attend 4 different sessions.

Probably some free time to see the "Mountain Town," although not
enough to actually find the "Mountain" (probably would require
              years anyway:)

Banquet at Mt. Pleasant Country Club -- I assume dancing (DJ) /
              fellowship afterward (don't quote me).

Sunday: Nothing Mentioned .... details forthcoming.

Free housing will be provided on a first come/first served
basis. A block of rooms has been reserved at one of the motels
in town (a chain that is new to town in last 1.5 years).
              Details forthcoing.

Currently, it has been confirmed that Wilfred Crenick will
attend, and Fred Pollock is possibly attending. [apologies if I
              spelled names wrong]

If you need more information, or don't have a packet by the first of next
week, please feel free to contact me via e-mail. I should have more details by
then or can forward questions to the chapter.

***Special notice for APO-L / APOSEC52 subscribers attending the Conference:

One of the sessions on Saturday Afternoon will be an APO-L & related E-mail
topics. This will be partially a reunion for those who have met only
virturally via these forums, similar to the sessions at Nationals in Boston &
St. Louis. These will be hosted by yours truely. If you want to find out
more about the APO electronic facilities (these lists, the FTP site, etc..),
or know someone who wants more information on getting on the list, this is the
place to be.

It will also be the place to be to hear comments like:

"You're Scott Begin, _THE_ Scott Begin."
"You're Scott Begin, I've read your posts."
"You're Scott Begin, the one who started that long discussion on...."
"You're Scott Begin, the one who posted those !@#$ {puzzles, riddles, etc}"

as you meet face to face for the first time brothers from the list.

[before you think my ego has gotten the better of me, the first two were
greetings I recieved at Region VI Conference, 1991 and Nationals, 1992. the
later were statements made at the APO Social in Boston. I used my name so as
not to offend anyone]

Region VI conferance. Don't Miss it!!!!!

YiLFS,
