Hi| The project I was debating blowing off permanently
blew a strong voice into my ear that said "Wake
up| Get going|" The project is still on.
The first day of school I went to
deliver newspapers on my paper route,
and talked to a brother in my chapter
who said "What's up with the Lodge?"
The answer-for all is that my project
for Sections 88-89 is still definitely
at the same place and date, also:
The weekend before Thanksgiving,
at our College Lodge. (I.e.
this cabin the college owns
10 minutes from here with
indoor heating, and plenty of room to sleep.
It is clean, fully furnished, and even
has a TV. For an additional fee,
the college COULD provide food,
but I am not so sure I want more campus food,
nor to torture the entire brotherhood with it..hehe.)
We are, according to a tentative plan, going to
have a Thanksgiving dinner, several
service projects (including a food drive),
and a party. What if it snows? They have
awesome sledding and some sking facilities,
plus a lot of indoor stuff for those
who want to stay warm. I volunteer
my VCR, so if people want to watch
movies, they are welcome....
Fredonia is 45 minutes from
Buffalo, Erie PA, and Jamestown,NY.
It is 10 minutes away from the closest city-
Dunkirk,NY. It is 2 hours from Rochester,
and two hours to the Canadian border.
(i.e. Niagara Falls). I would REALLY
appreciate it if I could get
some sort of preliminary idea
of how many people need lodging,
to make provisions. Our lodge sleeps
90 people, and I can only put
up a maximum of three or
four people in my dorm room.
I was wondering if any one
has a remote interest in coming,
if they could please give me
a rough guestimate. This
is by no means a binding
committment, if plans change.
Thank you for your help|
Sincerely, Joy Stein
