I think that one reason that the national office would not want to establish
E-mail is because of the shear volume of mail that they would receive. As
it is, if you want to talk to them, you have to make a long distance call.
If have to call long distance, most people will only call for a good reason
and will be organized. Things would be very different if all you had to do
was send an E-mail message. I could see the office receiving hundreds of
messages a week (or even a day) by well intentioned brothers just wanting to
say hi to Pat or ask something minor like when national service day is. Most
business can and should be handled through your sectional chair or at the
most through your regional chair. The national office should only be consult-
ed rarely for things such as paperwork and ordering materials.
