Hello All!
For those of you who weren't around during the summer, a word of explanation:
Epsilon Zeta at RPI (Troy, NY--just north of Albany, NY) is hosting a party
for ALL of APO THIS SATURDAY, September 4th, at 7pm. The party will be
held in our Student Union's McNeil room (which is big) and has the theme
"Party Behind Bars" (the room has ironwork bars and can, with a little
imagination, look like a jail). There will be Pizza, Punch, Munchies and
any other food that strikes my fancy there, and the whole thing is FREE
(though donations toward the cause are graciously accepted).
Please wear APO letters (if you can), since we're kinda using it as a Rush
event (I was able to get more chapter funding that way).
I still need some people to do music for dancing (a have a few people,
but I'd like a few more), so if you're a DJ type person and want to strut
your stuff, please bring your material. I'm working on having turntables
as well as the omnipresent CD players.
Accommodations: We have crash space for approximately 30 people arranged,
and I can get more if I need to. Don't worry--if you show
up AT ANY TIME OVER THE WEEKEND, I'll find you a place to
sleep. Even if I have to give up my own bed...
Directions:
From the West: Take the Thruway East to exit 24, then take (free) I-90 East
some more. You will see signs for I-787. Take that North.
From the East: Take the Mass Pike West to NY, get on the Thruway and go to
exit B1. Get on to (free) I-90 West, and take it until you
see signs for I-787. Take that North.
From the South: Take the Thruway North. Get off at exit 23. Take I-787 North.
From the North: Take I-87 South to exit 7. Get onto Rt. 7 going East toward
Troy. You will see signs for I-787. IGNORE THEM. Keep
going--you will cross a bridge and hit the four stoplights
described in the next set of directions.
Everyone: Follow I-787 north all the way to the Troy/Bennington VT exit.
You will go over a bridge and go through 4 stop lights. The
fourth stop light is 15th street; make a right turn onto 15th
(there will be signs for RPI). The third light you encounter
on 15th street will be 15th & Sage--the student union is there.
It's got arch-like windows and a roof that hangs out over the
rest of it. Most on-street parking should be available at that
time. If you get lost, our office's phone number is
